At Honey Bikes we create our frames using only the highest quality steel tubing selected specifically for that frame model, the intended usage, and the size of the bike. This means that no one tubeset will do the job so we work with a number of sources for our steel tubesets. The front triangles of our frames are primarily composed of micro alloys sourced from Reynolds, True Temper, and Columbus.  Our seatstays and chainstays always utilize heat-treated 4130 tubing that we butt in house at Honey Bikes.  This unusual way of working with steel provides Honey with a unique ride that provides a very stiff drivetrain – due in large part to the way we modify Honey chainstays – and a very compliant ride vertically – because of the way in which we’ve designed our seatstay bends and butting.
